Here We Go Again
The new rugby season is almost upon us.
Today we started with breakfast before setting off for St Austell to watch both the 1’s & 2’s take on decent opposition. Sadly we could only muster twenty or so players to St Austell’s forty and although we looked good at times there was evidence that we will struggle again this season.
Let’s hope not, let’s hope that the returning players and a few new signings make the difference, will we be able to consistently field two teams on a Saturday, let’s hope so.
Home from St Austell was via the Roseland and the King Harry Ferry. We had hoped to catch up with my sister who were on the first day of their Cornish holiday. We missed them as they had headed off to do some shopping but a stop at the supermarket for something quick and easy for dinner and we bumped into them. Great to catch up with them and we’ll see them tomorrow.
Home, pizza for dinner and then the pub to watch England v Wales, pretty uninspiring, you have to wonder what’s up with the English game when the loudest cheer of the afternoon was for Own Farrell’s red card.
