Jacqui was on a snorkelling course, organised by Live Longer Better Torbay. Free. One of a number of events, under the heading introduction to the Sea. I used to play for the pub football team in the 1970s. Now there isn’t even a league. I didn’t have a car and a lad called Dave kindly gave me a lift every week to training  in Paignton. He had an open topped Sunbeam car and played the Carpenters full belt on his four track cartridge stereo, there and back. Now in memory of him and those happy days I often play the Carpenters hits on my way to Walking Football. Yesterday  once more.
