History, castles and gin…oh my!

A busy day but, fortunately, the weather was excellent again.  I visited Brodrick Castle, ancestral home of the Duke of Hamilton.  Fabulous gardens and furnishings.  Can you spot a wee mousie?  They were place in every room for the children to find.  Henry wanted to volunteer but when I told him we had to leave Arran tomorrow, he changed is mind.  I also had a private tasting at Cladach Beach House, home of the Isle Arran  Gin Company (and the only beach bar in Scotland!). I visited the Arran Heritage Center as well.  Wonderful exhibits of Arran history.  I took a photo of a dresser which reminded me of the one I photographed on Harris back in 2005, when I was in my monochrome only phase.  (Both in the extras). I’ll be back on Harris at the end of month.  Gift#227: continued good weather.
