That Tree Again
I walked down the middle of the road to Bingley this morning to meet Auntie Betty for cuppas and toasted teacakes. I haven't lost my marbles, the road is closed whilst some work is happening. It didn't stop three drivers coming down who thought they knew better.
Auntie Betty was on form and we talked all things families and holidays. She is doing remarkably well in spite of the cancer. Apparently her consultant said recently that she is a 'tough old bird'. She is indeed.
Afterwards we made plans to have another get together with my cousins and then I walked back up the road and through St Ives. I set the Merlin App going for the ten minutes it took me to walk through and was pleasantly surprised at the number of birds it noted, nine in all. A chiffchaff was giving it all somewhere up in the tree canopy, a pity I couldn't see it.
