Lost in the eaves

This chap is carved onto a beam in the eaves of a 16th century house in Villaviciosa. He´s just about visible from the street outside, if you know where to look.
Whether he´s really been there that long I don´t know. I´ve been told that he is a representation of the man who first had the house built, a duke of Valdés, and that the figure on the other side is his wife the duchess. I´ve put them both, in colour, in as extras.
