An awesome wedding

LongLegs married IrishLass today.

We woke up in Castle Rock, packed up, and the boys (LongLegs plus his ushers, groomsmen, brothers in law) headed to the beach for a game of football, which spontaneously morphed into a swim. I loved watching it unroll.

Then a breakfast for all of them and us girlies too, in the most amazing cafe who decorated just for us and the wedding celebrations.

Then the lot of us spread out between 2 airBnbs to get ready. That was the only stressy bit of an amazing day. So many cars and people and timings and check outs.

Off to First Garvagh Presbyterian Church for the wedding service. It was simply wonderful. The bride and groom looked happy and stunning. Dot.T sang an amazing solo, HatBox did a reading, and 3 of ours were in the band. The talk was clear and Godly. Just having the families all there was such a treasure.

The reception was at BallyScullion, an awesome venue and I simply cannot put enough words in to describe the day. Ice cream, cake, confetti, garden games, speeches, dinner, dancing, evening food, sparklers, , … all generous and beautifully done. And the weather, that was predicted to be thunderous, was sunny when it needed to be, and raining when we were meant to be inside. How good God is.

And to top it all, the immediate family were all staying on site for the night so after we waved off a very delightful delighted bride and groom, we fell into our beds in cottages all ready for us. Dreamy.

The photo of the 3 brothers sitting on a bench, was a sneaky catch of them finalising their best man’s speech. :-))
