Justenjoy 1 Squirrels 0
We've been fighting a losing battle over a number of years with the squirrels and last summer we decided we'd had enough. They eaten every single strawberry on our fruit patch leaving a trail of green stems rather untidily in their wake. So we dug them up and planted raspberries which, for some reason, they leave well alone.
So, when one of the grandchildren gave me a strawberry plant I planted it up in the greenhouse and today I can celebrate with the first edible, untouched, sweet, succulent strawberry! There's not a squirrel (or a grandchild) in sight so I'll just have to eat it myself!!
