Anglesey County Show

George and I spent the day at the Anglesey County Show.

I didn’t know what to expect, as I’ve been to some dreadfully disappointing shows in recent years but I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised.

There was something for everyone to enjoy but the highlight for me was seeing the Aldabra tortoises.

There were some lovely rare breed sheep, women spinning wool, a lady making beautiful clay pots and in the produce tent there was a large selection of ‘animals’ made out of fruit and veg. I have to say I thought Blipper Charlie17 was joking when he said that such a craft existed :-))

The gentleman shearing this sheep using the traditional shearing method, has just celebrated his 86th birthday. I wonder how many he’s sheared in his lifetime!
