Peacock Butterfly

So glad that Holly and I had our walk this morning when the weather was fine, dry and warm. In the late afternoon we had the most tremendous dowpour that caused some nasty flooding. Now in the early evening we are enjoying a blue sky with a fair number of fluffy white clouds.

I was on a butterfly hunt in Pollok this morning and the result of my hunting was one Peacock Butterfly. I didn't manage a photo when it was on the ox-eye daisies but then it settled on these leaves and stayed still for what seemed like ages .... I did wonder if it had lain down to die, fortunately it did fly off again.
