I have never seen so many dolphins working the bay as I saw this morning. There they are, just out of shot, too far away for my wee camera. I counted more than 20 spread out in podlets along Wimbie, Surf and Denhams beaches, breaking up a shoal of fish and shepherding them into manageable gulps.

The tourists would have loved it. But it's winter, and the preference now is for Queensland, the Sunshine State, up north. If you're in budget mode, though, I can do you a good price on that bench. Drinking water to hand, and a shower too. Twenty steps down to Denhams. Want my BSB?
