A glorious day. Felt like summer again.

Mrs FP getting an eye test, the dog and I headed for the shore. In the woods we came across a group of walkers looking confused, turning their A4 maps around and around all pointing in different directions. They were trying to find an access point to the John Muir Way. I let the dog off the lead and said "Follow him." and off we set. We had grand blethers as we ambled on. They were from Glasgow., parked in Bo'ness and walking through Blackness, onto Queensferry, over the Forth Road Bridge to North Queensferry where they hoped a bus could be found to get them back to this side of the river. Ten miles or so, easy walking except at Queensferry getting from the foreshore to the bridge access is quite a climb. I bored them at length with local history and landmarks and places to look out for on their travels. They feigned interest as long as they could then declared it was time to have a sandwich and get the lid off their flasks. We bade them well and went on our way.

The rest of the day? Working on the land rover, strimming, harvesting plums...oh look! Wine! You get the gist.
