It's a pity.

It's a pity it's sold, basically, for the variegated foliage.  I distinctly remember it flowering ONCE.  I've rarely smelt such a STRONG scent from such an insignificant looking flower. (For an Iris)  I hope it does again, I might try a more auspicious site?
