On Time

Colchicum alpinum.  I saw it in flower in grassy meadows above Saas Fee at the start of August 2010 so it's likely in tune with it's wild relations even now.   My plants were raised from seed quite a few years ago and made their blip debut almost ten years ago.

A slow start but I did get a little done in the greenhouse before heading out with Jamie to meet Clara and family at Corris Craft Centre.   Our time there was shorted than we'd have liked as I was working at Aber Cafe from 4pm.   A shift where cleaning up after the day shift and preparing sandwiches for tomorrow kept us busy until the mad rush when the sunset train arrived - in a torrential downpour.   Almost dark by the time I got back to Tywyn.
