After another glorious day here in Carradale we decided to have our first BBQ of the year and invited some friends who visit the area to join us. There is nothing better than sitting outside at this time of year and enjoying some food and drink in good company.

After we had eaten, I lit an open fire and we sat around it "chewing the fat" and soaking up what seemed like endless daylight (it is almost midnight now and I can still see some faint light over the hills to the north of us).

Caroline brought her 6 year old black Labrador 'Cara' with her and she spend the evening nudging her nose into our laps looking for some scraps of food. After a good start of refusing to give in to her charm most of us relented and gave her the odd bit of sausage or burger, which she devoured with great pleasure. After all, who could resist such a pleading look!
