Ian and Leo were looking at cars. I couldn’t face that so I wandered about the industrial estate to get some steps in whilst they looked, test drove and then decided on a new car. As Ian is driving to Portsmouth regularly he needed to switch the existing car out for something more suitable. He decide on a Kona so that is similar to our Tucson just a bit smaller since it will mostly be him and his luggage in it rather than the whole family.
In the afternoon we headed to SJP for the first home game of the season. It was an enjoyable match but ended with the dreaded 0-0 score line. It was nice to be back and see all the usual faces in the stands. Leo has abandoned us so he can be in the standing Big Bank with his mates whilst we are still comfortably seated. The Blackpool supporters were in good voice and good humour and made more racket than us home supporters at some points.
It’ll be a busy Sunday with a fair few things to fit in. It’ll be UNO at Costa and a family lunch out in Exeter. Then in the afternoon we have to head back to the car garage to sort paperwork and other stuff and then also need to head out to a farm shop just outside Exeter to hear about a new Parkrun setup. I put our names down as potential volunteers l thought Ian may actually do more running than volunteering. I’ll get the occasional walk in depending on what roles I volunteer for. It’ll be nice to be involved in one from the start.
