It’s fair stoatin’!

Or in usual English, it’s raining very heavily.
I took this view of the street while sitting in the car waiting for the rain to ease off. 
We had nipped over to see J & A before they start/restart school next week.  On our way home, the heavens opened, it was totally hammering down.
As I type this, the sky is, as my grandfather would have said, “black as the earl of hell’s waistcoat!” And, yes, it’s raining again!
