Spears
I got out early this morning and went down to the river. While there wasn't much about in the way of wildlife, there was a fantastic light as the sun rose over the top of the valley. I was hard put to choose one shot to blip - and in the afternoon, I worked on taking photos of some flowers from the underneath against the light - some of which could well have been a blip!
I went for this one in the end, because the spear thistles give a point of interest and the grass is framed by the out-of-focus leaves of the tree through which I took the picture and the light is just fantastic in the way it lights up the grass seeds around the thistles.
I hope the picture gives at least a hint of what it was like.
