The Distant Peaks…..

Yet another frosty morning. Maisie and I walked upstream on the true right bank of the Taylor River and crossed at the Burleigh Bridge. Then we walked, or rather Maisie ran….after rabbits… back through the wider open areas of the Pony Club grounds. This view is looking west up the Wairau Valley towards the very distant St Arnaud Range which was bathed in the early morning golden light. The Rainbow Skifield is in those mountains. The seat in view looks towards pleasant views of the trees along the river bank and the Wither Hills.
