Didn't enjoy this as much as the last two recitals; the flute wasn't moderated in volume to suit the space on the high notes, which made me wince. The other players were excellent. 

Out again in mid afternoon in windy sunny weather, 24C, to walk to Milk at the Sculpture Workshop for tea and chocolate cake. For Flower Friday there are marigolds, Calendula officinalis, from the patch beside the Goldenacre path. 

By request, there will be a Botanics Blipmeet on Third Tuesday, next week, 15 August. 10.15 am at the East Gate. Wander round bits of the gardens, optional coffee, conversation. If you let me know you are coming and are delayed, we will know to wait for you.
