Friday: Dancers

This morning I drove down to Cockscomb Basin, about 2 hours from Belmopan, to attend the inauguration of a new research laboratory.  It was in honour of Alan Rabinowitz who played a key role in jaguar conservation in Belize.  It was also a bit of a memorial service, attended by family and friends.  My US colleague and I both agreed that it felt like we were at an oddly private event.

It didn’t stop us being asked to plant a tree afterwards.

It was my first time in Cockscomb Basin.  It was lovely - we’ll definitely have to go back.
