Mist in Falmouth and the Bay Area over a large part of the afternoon and early evening bringing with it a drop in temperature.
I returned to the Thursday Gang at the rugby club after a four week rest, reinvigorated and determined that working with Lou who manages the clubhouse we can impose some sort of order on areas that consistently let the club down. I enjoyed catching up with the others and with the ‘Gaffer’ Dave stepping back I’m looking forward to putting some of my ideas in place.
In the evening I attended yet another meeting, the Tall Ships Liaison Officers Brief. Another couple of hours taken up switched to receive rather than transmit. The actual brief on our roles and responsibilities was pretty good, the preamble covering fires, floods, disasters, terrorism, overcrowding etc, you know all the calamities that occur regularly at events, was, considering there are security teams, land side volunteers as well as the emergency services, was a little over the top.
I am now the proud owner of a bright yellow T shirt and wrist band and whilst I’m grateful for the issue of one free T Shirt I’m pretty certain that with the forecast weather for next week I’d be ‘humming’ by Wednesday so Ian and I are investigating the purchase of a second shirt.
I met Sam after her training and along with Josh had a couple of over priced nightcap beers at the rugby club to finish the evening early, the barman was tired.
