the door to St Peter and St Paul's Church, Chaldon.

I have the day off, so Peter, Elsa and I had an early walk from home to Chaldon Church.   It is mentioned in the Domesday Book and reknowned for  the 12th century mural on it's west wall.   We did not go inside today as it was too early and not yet open.   
It is a special, beautiful little old church.  I once went to a wedding there on a freezing cold day in January.
I also have happy childhood memories of visiting it with my parents.  It was one of the places we would take visiting relatives to see. 
I even have some of my Dad's old cine film of it.
