Gorgeous Day

Our last full day at the beach. We went to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse - the main. Got there before all the visitors - always a good thing. Then off to the Hatfield Marine Science Center at Oregon State University https://hmsc.oregonstate.edu/ where we learned about tsunamis and saw the Pacific Giant Octopus. Have you ever read “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt? It’s all I could think about - I’ve read it twice and highly recommend it.

An afternoon on the beach with my granddaughter and s’mores by the bonfire for the last night.

Back to Portland and an impending heat wave tomorrow.
