Carving

We met up with our daughter and the granddaughters at a Starbucks near Tankersly in South Yorkshire. After our coffee we all went to Canon Hall Park, near Barnsley. There we walked along the riverside where I spotted several wooden carvings..including this heron (at least I think that is what it is supposed to be), a squirrel and a fish.

The girls had a good run around in the playground, before daughter left us (she is working tonight). We had a picnic lunch with the girls and then drove back home.

Later we went to the playground in our village for them to have another run around…trying to tire them out before the sleepover. 

Tea for them was homemade pizza…which they ‘assembled’ themselves from cheese, ham, pineapple and sweetcorn (their choices). Anyway they ate them all up so they must have been okay.

Currently in the process of getting them ready for bed…hohum..not going brilliantly I have to say.
