Bittersweet

This plant seemed to be popular with the bees as I passed by this evening. Although related to Deadly Nightshade this flower is one of the less poisonous members of the Solanaceae. Instances of poisoning in humans are very rare on account of the fruit's intensely bitter taste. Apparently, the fruit has a sweet aftertaste, hence the name bittersweet.
