Not a Tui to be seen

A very gentle day at work, which was nice. As was hearing a young man struggling to come to terms with being given a diagnosis of bipolar disorder tell me that he is thinking and functioning more clearly since taking lithium. Also, that he has gone two months without suicidal ideation. Before lithium that was his constant companion.

On my way home the skies opened above the Waitakere Range, reducing visibility to less than 50 m. It had stopped when I got home, and I was able to have a brisk walk without getting wet. The flowering cherry I have featured is in Hollywood Avenue. I can't help wondering where the Tui were.
