An unremarkable day

I went to a garden centre in Newton-le-Willows but not to buy plants - I went for shoes. They sell Pavers and Skechers and both were on sale. Bought 2 pairs of Pavers today. Assistant asked if I wanted them Scotch-guarding for £4.99 a pair - no thanks! she rambled on about them needing protecting as they are leather! I showed her the Skechers I was wearing and told her I'd had them years with nothing added. She tried to tell me they are not leather. They are definitely leather! I have lots of sprays to protect leather ie waterproof it, anyway, as I buy them to keep my walking boots leakproof. I told her this and she said it won't be suitable for leather. I said "My walking boots are leather!" I gave her a look and I think that with that she decided to give in and she shut up.
Did a bit of pottering in the garden after lunch, but nothing major - a bit of weeding, cutting back, the usual sweeping up of seeds and a little weed spraying out the front - the weeds growing on the pavement against our front wall. I usually pull them up but the shoulder isn't up to it - it's not too bad today but I don't want to aggravate it. Photo of a flower on our largest hibiscus which only began flowering yesterday - the bees love these flowers and we see many bees in them.
