FISHING HEAD
FISHERMANS HEAD . . .
Day Two of our visit to a far flung part of Yorkshire.
Brimham Rocks this morning and then back to the Himalayan Gardens. What a contrast to the last visit - wonderful sunshine and these park sculptures feature in the image today.
Fisherman's Head is by Christopher Marvell - and I had to marvel at the expression and lesson in how to catch a fish !
In the background is part of The Wave, by Rebecca Newnham. This Red Wave represents all the invisible information floating around our world today - phone signals and TV transmissions etc.
It is painted red because that is the most visible wavelength and so the artist is linking the visible and the invisible. On a much more simple note, I like the way this sculpture moves around in the water as the wind powers it across the surface.
