Australia vs Denmark

The FIFA’s Women’s World Cup is happening in Australia at present. An increasing number of people are recognising the high standard of women’s sport generally … that means more funding, sponsorship and advertising will follow … hopefully.

Last night’s game between Australia (the Matilda’s) and Denmark was the highest rating viewed moment to date in 2023. That includes everything watched on TV. Of course, those numbers are helped by the Matilda’s winning games and game by game advancing towards the finals.

So many women have played different sports at a world class level for years so I hope the increasing recognition and respect continues.
