Day off

A rare day off for us both today. We decided we were going to walk the canal towpath to our favourite canal side pub for lunch. After the recent rain parts of the path were a bit muddy. We’ve never done the whole walk before and it certainly tested my fitness, hubby is much more used to long walks than I am. It was worth the effort, not only did we spot the heron but it was a real home cooked lunch eaten outside in the sunshine of the beer garden. Home via roads rather than towpath and another pub beer garden to break up the walk.
