Juvenile wheatear

The day started fairly sunny but soon clouded over.  I headed to the gym for a sprint cycle class which ws good.  A quick visit to a supermarket and then back home for coffee and some tidying up before lunch.

I then headed into Exmouth train station to pick my sister up.  She had had a fairly long journey so was itching to get out for a walk so we strolled along the beach and then walked upto the geoneedle on top of the cliffs.  The extra shows a view from here.  The weather today has been fairly cloudy but warm with sunnier periods in the morning.  In fact ideal walking weather.

Back home we enjoyed a relaxed evening and then spotted this small bird on the garden fence.  It looked very fluffy and very cute and eventually we decided we thought it was a juvenile wheatear.  At first we were worried that it was impaled on the wire as shown in the extra.  It didn't move much and was there for some time.  Eventually it moved so you could see it was behind the wire spikes.
