Calmac Ferries

Travelling to Harris and Lewis with a car requires the use of the car ferry operated by Caledonian MacBrayne.

We certainly enjoyed the whole of process of driving onto the ferry, enjoying the facilities and good food along with sitting on the sun deck enjoying the views.

The extra shows the approach to Ullapool. The weather on our various journeys has been superb. When we have been walking about it has been dry. Any rain has been experienced whilst driving.

The temperatures have been comfortable.

I did not mention the Scottish Midgies which greeted us at Luskentyre. They are awful. However two ‘angels’ approached with ‘Skinsosoft’ which is an excellent deterrent.
