From Troyes to Lac du Der

A rain-free day. The wind has turned from south west to north west, which is in line with expectations. We are on our way back north.

Shortly after Troyes we left the Seine and with that, we arrived at the Velovoie du Lacs. I was looking forward to seeing the lakes as it is the resting place for tens of thousands of cranes on their way south. When the wind is right, they fly over our village before they have a stop at Lac du Der.

There is a cycle path from Troyes to Port Dienville. It suddenly made cycling a nice activity again. I sometimes doubt whether I still like to cycle.

After the cycle path we drove on a quiet hilly road with hardly any cars. Headwind.

At Lac du Der we set up the tent at the campsite right on the lake. No crane to be seen. They won't come until October.
