World Cycle Championships

Church was chaotic today as the Children's summer club had been on last week, and they were performing for us this morning.  It was good fun!

Cali and Karen cycled into the city to spectate at the Men's Cycle race Edinburgh to Glasgow.  We sat down in front of the television to watch a little, and ended up watching the whole thing.  It was very exciting and showcased the central belt of Scotland beautifully too.  The race was won by a Dutchman, and he deserved his win.  I took some pictures from the television.  the distance they travelled on the route was 168 miles travelling through the Falkirk area and the Carron reservoir and up Crow road in the Campsies before a long 10 laps of a route in Glasgow city.   .Glasgow is not flat, and Montrose Street is quite a hill, they had to negotiate it ten times.....

Extra shot is the winner....

We were so engrossed we had to rush to meet Cali later as we were going out for our meal today.
