Eco Protest

The big cycling event today was the Edinburgh to Glasgow road race.  However the race was stopped for around 50 minutes by a group of protesters who had glued themselves to the road.   They chose an effective spot in the route as it is a single track stretch with little room to pass.

I ended up just watching a lot of it on television and it was great. 

Just out of shot in the picture were two policemen who were waiting to stop traffic as the cycles passed through but they were thoroughly bored waiting as a result of the protest.  The cows who were also waiting to see the race were not a- moo- sed.  indeed everyone was a bit Moo-dy.
