Jersey Tiger

Look up the distribution of the stunning Jersey Tiger moth and you will see that its found along the south coast: Devon, Dorset, Isle of Wight, Sussex and Kent, with some sightings in London. Well it seems to be moving north as we had one in the garden here in Oxfordshire this morning. It is best seen in flight when the glorious scarlet underwings of this large day-flying moth are revealed.
