Invested
I invested three new Scouts into my troop this evening, after they'd had fun making ballista's to fire water bombs (during the firing of which, some Scouts got wetter than others) - well you have to make proper use of the warm dry evenings don't you? ;-)
I gave my camera to the most senior Scout along with a few minutes coaching and practicing and I think we got the best shots of the investing ceremony we've ever had, so full credit to my rapidly recruited assistant shooter.
In this shot the kids are making their promise, whilst making the Scout sign with their right hands. I'm standing just off to the right leading them through the promise.
After this bit they are given their badges and I place their Troop Neckerchef over their heads which symbolises they are now officially part of the Scout movement, joining a family of 30 million, in 161 countries worldwide.
