The poem of the Man Bird

We have returned form the Mediterranean coast to a rather windy Gironde.
Having battled the wind along the coast on my bike, I then had a puncture. I didn't realise bicycle punctures could happen with such a loud bang! Something punctured the sidewall of the tyre (annoyingly only replaced recently) and I had to use a piece of cardboard inside the tyre as reinforcement. I didn't need to call for the support vehicle and made it back.

On the way I noticed this new sculpture. It is called 'L'Epopee de l'Homme Oiseau' which translates as 'The poem of the Man Bird'.
The information board nearby explained all. The 2.2 metre high sculpture is made of various upcycled metal items.
