Donkeys & Dessert

When I turned up at the field this afternoon, I was greeted by a huge chorus of Hee-Hawing ("iahen" in German) from all three of the boys.  It does a heart good to get that kind of reception.

After I'd completed my chores, I looked for the apple and carrot store - none there.  Luckily I had bought apples and carrots this afternoon and as soon as I started chopping them up, there was another chorus of hee-hawing. Normally Janosch (here in the foreground) & Urmel (behind me in a tent) finish first and try to bully Emil (small, grey and in the background here) out of his dessert.

Didn't happen today - Emil inhaled his dessert.  If you can see more in large you'll see he has knocked his bowl over just to make sure he hasn't missed anything.

After finishing tidying up I went home to be greeted with the most unlikely compliment I'm likely to get - "You smell of donkeys".  Maybe there is a market for Eau d'âne.
