Guide Dog convention

Our first day exploring Brisbane started by walking through the Botanic gardens right opposite our hotel. We then walked along the riverside and crossed the Goodwill bridge to the opposite bank . It was a delightful walk along that side to the lively Southbank area where families were enjoying the warm sunshine. ( sorry Blip friends back in UK and certainly Scotland where I know the wet weather continues!)

It was then time to jump on the free hop on hop off City Hopper for a trip back along the river - we just stayed on for the hour and a half return journey getting a great view of both sides . The extra just shows one view.

When we got back to the Botanic Gardens we came across the scene on the blip - there appeared to be about 30 Guide dogs in harness lined up for an official photograph- mainly yellow Labradors with a few blacks and one intruder Cavalier spaniel ( not in harness!)

We had noticed several Guide dogs in the hotel and it turns out there was a convention for the visually impaired being held in our hotel with quite a few staying there. I got this information from a receptionist as curiosity got the better of me !
