Keep Crossing Clear For The Smartphone Generation

The weather here for the past few weeks has been very hit and miss, leaning towards the miss. Today was no exception as it was grey, damp,  unseasonably cold and with the frequent addition of showers.
Today's image was taken at the level crossing in my village and I thought captured everything about this month or so of a, mainly, disappointing summer. Also, it's part of a mantra from other photographers that I have heard many times - "shoot what you know".I have probably waited at this crossing hundreds of times over the decades but every single occasion is different and has it's own story so here is just one of the very many. I rather like the everyday continuity of it all. The crossing has a rhythm but the notes always vary.
A big thank you to my brother for the title. He hasn't missed a blip for over two and a half years so from now on I'm going to try and emulate his achievement. I'm sure some images will be rubbish and some will be very boring indeed but then that's the rich tapestry of life!
