Loose
My mind is very preoccupied with our important looming deadline which is requiring 12-hour office days. These gruelling weeks come around every so often in our game. The project we’re developing involves our Mozambique team as well, so at least I get to have some proposal-writing based banter with them (about as fun as it sounds). One colleague based in northern Mozambique is critical to the proposal but is travelling across the country after finishing some fieldwork. As traversing Mozambique is such a time-consuming endeavour, he’s stopping in every district town, dealing with queries and tinkering with Excel, and then continuing. Never has one person strived so hard to reach home.
I was so distracted after getting up that I even forgot to put my belt on this morning so had loose trousers all day. I was relieved to finally reach home and change into shorts, grateful not to have had any embarrassing slippages.
In the compound I came across this painter helping to create some signboards related to one of our water resource management projects.
