It's Flower Friday!

Today we took our guests D and A to Waltham Abbey where they met up with Violet and Stella-Rose briefly before our rather good lunch in The Angel pub.  We had wanted to take them to the Welsh Harp  partly because of its charming exterior and also because it is next to Waltham Abbey itself, but sadly it is closed until further notice.
After lunch the weather brightened considerably so we were able to walk past the Welsh Harp and onto the abbey and its surrounding gardens where I took this pic of some hollyhocks.  A wedding was taking place but when it had finished, we were able to go inside the abbey ( which I failed to photograph) and have  chat with the verger.
