Roughing it

Our sleeping arrangements. The floor isn’t particularly comfortable so after a week my poor back is not happy. I’m also struggling with the lack of cooking and toilet facilities now.

We’ve done what we can do at the moment so the decision has been made that on Sunday we’re going to Veliko Tarnovo and spending two nights there. We’re then heading to Sofia for our final two nights.

I’m coming back out in the October half term so I can organise building quotes for what I want doing. I’ve already booked the bed and breakfast in the next village! I’ll just drive over every day and do what I can.

Today has not been the best of days as you can probably tell. The teenager is grumpy and it’s been so hot! We’ve all been struggling with the heat and it’s been unbearable.

I’m ready to go home now. The house will be amazing when it’s finished but the summer is not the time to be doing it.
