A longer slower walk
A rewarding longer walk today (no rain!)
I did 3 15 minute BIG butterfly counts in different areas, in the town, countryside and the cemetery! More butterflies in the town than the other two. One unusual one not included , a Wall Brown so I sent a record to the County recorder.
Twenty five bird species seen on my 2 hours including a few Swifts and Swallows and one House Martin.
BUT the highlight was a very large (perhaps because if was very near :-). Peregrine Falcon which zoomed past me at a little
below tree top height and it rose and dipped over trees scattering Woodpigeons and Jackdaws.
It was the best I have felt in a long time. a nature cure?
