Hay stooks?

It was time to cut 'our verge' and remove the coarse grasses that still dominate in places.  The Council have never cut this particular bit of verge so we sort of adopted it several years ago and have been cutting and seeding it with yellow rattle and other wild flowers ever since.  At its best it's attractive and provides food for insects, and has also drastically reduced the amount of litter and dog poo on the path - success!
