Pillars Past sculpture
We are staying in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire, for the weekend with all our children and grandchildren, which is a lovely treat. On an evening walk we came across this sculpture called Pillars Past. It is situated on the site of a railway turntable and shows 3 figures representing the lead mining, agricultural and monastic past. It was easy to identify the monk but we weren't sure if this figure is a farmer or miner.
