Pet Shop

Today's the day ....................... for imagination

In one of the rooms of the house today - a whole arcade of shops opened to the general public.

There was Tessa's Pet Shop (see extra) with a whole host of animals looking for a home.  Fortunately the shop proprietor was very knowledgeable (and caring) about them all.  She persuaded Will to purchase a badger called Max and gave him full instructions on how to look after him.

Josie was in charge of the Lending Library of Books and again was very ready and willing to give you advice on what books you would like to read.  If you just gave her idea on what sort of thing you were interested in, she could put her hand instantly on what would fit the bill.  Just make sure that you brought it back within three weeks.

Then, there was Dominic's Dress Shop.  We couldn't help thinking that he had been somewhat persuaded(?!) by his cousins that this was a good idea - but give him all due respect, he had taken up the challenge (which must have put him well outside his comfort zone) and done a superb job.  Quite frankly, I couldn't resist a couple of purchases for my two granddaughters that I knew would love the outfits.  And then there was something for me, with a free fairy wand thrown in, that was too good to miss.

Oh, and did I tell you that the currency in this particular Arcade today was in - shells?  Absolute genius and child's imagination at its finest .....................!
