Day 154 of 365 - Bird Grove House!
Welcome to day 154 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)
The original photo was taken at lunchtime today in George Elliot Road, which is in the Foleshill area of Coventry. The image is of Bird Grove House. This two storey house with a welsh slate roof and Stucco walls was built in the 19th Century. Bird Grove House was a former residence of Mary Ann Evans, who was more famously known as The novelist George Eliot. She moved here with her Father in 1841 when she was 21 years old and lived there for 8 years. After her Father died in 1849 Mary Ann moved away from Coventry to London. Where she had her first Novel published in 1857 under the Pen name George Eliot.
The building is classed as Grade II* listed. It is number 24 and the last on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.
As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App ExposerGL for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.
First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. The edits were made by cloning away the Cars from the street and the dustbins from outside the house. Next I used a Custom preset with the app Tangled FX to help blend some of the details into a more artistic look. After that I used the app called Mextures to apply some extra lighting and textures to the image. The Layers that I applied were, Vignette, Mulberry, Ford Screen, Leaker and the Sunflower Overlay. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lade Texture.
