Cards and gifts

…..No.1 has been so touched by all the cards and gifts she has received since being on this journey (horrible phrase).  She says she feels ‘lucky’ to be sent gifts but I said she was not lucky to have a brain tumour.  She is such a kind loving person that she reflects that back and friends just want to shower her with love which they do by sending her such lovely gifts.

Nothing much today - weather was a bit mixed again.  MIL couldn’t walk this morning so ambulance was called and she is in hospital again.  OH visited later and she is in the same geriatric ward.  I did a food shop and cooked and started another cross stitch with a funny quote, although I was struggling a bit as it is small (I’m used to tapestry which is bigger).  No.1 had a shower and washed hair and felt better after being able to remove lots of gunk from operation.  Swelling seems better too and she was reassured after email from hospital that it is normal following surgery.

I had an exchange of messages with ex colleague fighting his own battles with cancer - hoping for some alternative choices with new consultant after exhausting all options.  Here’s hoping and praying for him.
